At the China Robot Industry Promotion Conference held on December 10-11, 2015, the China Robot Industry Alliance (cria) predicted that the total sales of domestic industrial robots this year will exceed 22,000 units, a year-on-year increase of about 30%. In order to accelerate the healthy and orderly development of my country's service robot industry, the preparatory group of the Service Robot Professional Committee of China Robot Industry Alliance was formally established at the meeting. Jia Peifa, a professor at Tsinghua University and the former leader of the "Intelligent Robot" subject expert group of the National High-Tech Research and Development Program (863), served as the team leader.

The latest statistics released by the China Robot Industry Alliance (cri鄄a) show that benefiting from the support of relevant policies and the promotion of the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the domestic industrial robot market has achieved steady growth this year. In the first half of 2015, a total of 11,275 industrial robots were sold. Taiwan, a year-on-year increase of 76.8%, sales on a comparable basis increased by 27%, 66.5% of last year’s annual sales.

The relevant person in charge of the China Robot Industry Alliance said that from the perspective of product structure, the sales of coordinate robots and multi-joint robots ranked the top two, accounting for 37% and 33% of the total sales respectively. Among them, coordinate robots increased by 87% over the same period last year. Robots have increased by 91% year-on-year and have reached the sales volume of last year.

In terms of application areas, the sales volume of handling robots accounted for 53% of the total sales, ranking first, an increase of 109% year-on-year; sales of welding and brazing robots accounted for 19%, ranking second, an increase of 32% year-on-year .

From the perspective of application industries, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, rubber and plastic products, and electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing are more concentrated, accounting for 58% of total sales. Among them, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry, education, rubber and plastic products industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, special equipment manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, clothing, apparel, and wine, beverage, and refined tea manufacturing industries grew faster, compared with last year. In comparison, the application of domestic industrial robots has further expanded to industries such as dinner services, currency banking services, general instrumentation manufacturing, non-ferrous metal casting, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

In recent years, in the context of the weakness of the traditional manufacturing market and the increasing demand for corporate transformation and upgrading, the robotics industry has maintained a good momentum of development, and corporate industrialization capabilities and industry supporting capabilities have achieved varying degrees of improvement. The above-mentioned person in charge said that looking forward to the future, driven by favorable policies such as "Made in China 2025", the development of my country's robotics industry will enter a period of strategic opportunities.
