At the China Robotics Industry Promotion Conference held on December 10-11, 2015, the China Robotics Industry Alliance (cria) predicted that the total sales of domestic industrial robots this year will exceed 22,000 units, an increase of about 30% year-on-year. In order to accelerate the healthy and orderly development of my country's service robotics industry, the Preparatory Group of the Service Robotics Professional Committee of the China Robot Industry Alliance was officially established at this meeting. Jia Peifa, professor at Tsinghua University and former leader of the National High-Tech Research and Development Program (863) “Intelligent Robotics” research group, serves as the group leader.
statistics released by the alliance of the robotics industry of china (cria) show that the domestic industrial robotics market has achieved steady growth this year, thanks to the support of relevant policies and the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. In the first half of 2015, 11275 industrial robots were sold. Taiwan saw a year-on-year increase of 76.8%, with sales increasing by 27% on a comparable basis, reaching 66.5% of last year's total sales.
A relevant person in charge of the China Robot Industry Alliance said that from the perspective of product structure, coordinate robots and multi-joint robots ranked in the top two in sales, accounting for 37% and 33% of total sales respectively. Among them, coordinate robots increased by 87% compared with the same period last year. Robot sales increased 91% year-on-year, reaching last year's sales volume level.
In terms of application areas, the sales volume of handling robots accounted for 53% of the total sales, ranking first, with a year-on-year increase of 109%; the sales volume of welding and brazing robots accounted for 19%, ranking second, with a year-on-year increase of 32%.
In terms of application industries, industries such as chemical raw materials and chemical product manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, rubber and plastic products, and electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing are more concentrated, accounting for 58% of total sales. Among them, the growth rate of ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry, education industry, rubber and plastic products industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, special equipment manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, clothing, apparel, and wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industries has accelerated compared with last year. In contrast, the application of domestic industrial robots has further expanded to industries such as catering services, money and banking services, general instrument manufacturing, non-ferrous metal casting, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
In recent years, against the backdrop of a weak traditional manufacturing market and growing demand for corporate transformation and upgrading, the robotics industry has maintained a good development momentum, and the industrialization capabilities and industry support capabilities of enterprises have also improved to varying degrees. The above-mentioned person in charge said that looking ahead, driven by favorable policies such as “Made in China 2025”, the development of my country's robotics industry will enter a period of strategic opportunity.
