Current situation in the packaging machinery industry

Current situation in the packaging machinery industry:
1. Overview of my country's packaging machinery industry. Before liberation, my country's packaging machinery industry was almost blank. Most products do not require packaging, only a few are artificially packaged, so packaging mechanization cannot be mentioned. Only major cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Guangzhou have beer and soda filling machines and small cigarette packaging machines imported from the UK and the US.
In the first 30 years after liberation, the development of our packaging machinery industry was quite slow. In 1956, the small cigarette packaging machine produced by Shanghai Tobacco Machinery Company was an early-production packaging machine in my country. In the 1960s, our country also produced fruit wine and beer filling machines. In the late 1970s, vacuum packaging machines, strapping machines, stand-up bag filling and sealing machines, candy packaging machines and can sealing machines gradually developed. However, packaging machinery had not yet formed a complete industrial system at that time.
In the 1980s, due to the rapid development of the country's economy, the continuous expansion of foreign trade and the significant improvement of people's living standards, the requirements for product packaging became increasingly high. The urgent need to mechanize and automate packaging greatly promoted the development of the packaging machinery industry. The packaging machinery industry is playing an increasingly important role in the national economy. In order to promote faster development of the packaging machinery industry, my country has established several management agencies and industry organizations. The China Packaging Technology Association was established in December 1980, the China Packaging Technology Association's Packaging Machinery Committee was established in April 1981, and then China National Packaging Corporation was established.
Since the 1990s, the packaging machinery industry has been growing at an average rate of 20% to 30% per year, which is 15% to 17% higher than the average growth rate of the entire packaging industry and 4.7 percentage points higher than the average growth rate of the traditional machinery industry. The packaging machinery industry has become an indispensable and extremely important emerging industry in my country's national economy.
Currently, there are more than 1,500 companies engaged in the production of packaging machinery in our country, of which nearly 400 have the scale of. There are over 2,700 products in 40 categories, including a large number of high-quality products that can meet the needs of the domestic market and compete in the international market. At present, my country's packaging machinery industry has a group of backbone enterprises with strong development capabilities. These enterprises are mainly composed of the following aspects: some large machinery factories that produce packaging machinery after technological transformation; the development level of military-to-civilian enterprises; and township enterprises.
In order to improve the technical level of the packaging machinery industry, a nationwide “Packaging Machinery Information Research Institute” has been established, and some universities have also opened packaging engineering majors. This provides a strong development path and technical guarantee for my country's packaging machinery industry to catch up with the world's advanced level.
Despite the rapid development and remarkable achievements of our country's packaging industry, there are still large gaps in product variety, technological level and product quality compared with developed countries. Developed countries have successfully applied high-tech technologies such as microcomputer control, laser technology, artificial intelligence, optical fiber, image sensing and industrial robots to the field of packaging machinery, and these high-tech technologies are only beginning to be applied in my country's packaging machinery industry; the gap in product types is about 30%-40%; there is also a gap in the performance and appearance quality of packaging machinery products. Therefore, we must take strong measures to further accelerate the development of the packaging machinery industry and strive to catch up with the world's advanced level as soon as possible!
